I've slacked

I've slacked on blogging in a while. I've also started letting myself slowly fall back into a funk. I don't know why, but some days are better than others. I have good days and then I have the not so good days. All I know is PPD just really really sucks. I want it to pass sooo bad and go back to my "normal" self. I haven't even been crafty in a while. Soooooooo I think its time to start crafting again. It makes me happy!
     BUT...... First I need to clean out my little craft area and organzie it all. It's a total DISASTER!!!! I'll post some before and after pictures when I get it finished! :)

My new best friend!

Yesterday, I got a NEW best friend!!!!!

My old one broke so she needed to be replaced ASAP! :) 

I got a NEW sewing machine!!!!! She's completely digital and SOOOOOOOOOOOO quite compared to my old one!!!!!

I told myself I was going to stay at home today and clean, BUT I'm dying to go get some fabric and make something! 

Hmmmm maybe, JUST MAYBE if  I get my cleaning done real quick, I'll sneak to the store :)

today is Michael's momma's birthday, SO.......

I got Maddie her first real pair of shoes. Ok, well her second! My mom got her some Juicy slip on's that are too cute, BUT I got her some high top pink Converse! They were too boring,

Halloween is approaching faster than ever. 

SOOOOOOOO with all this decorating for it, I had to bake some cupcakes for my boys!!!! 

Michael's mom had a little pumpkin bowl out and Maddie was in a Halloween outfit, so we stuck her in it and got a cute little smile before she stood up and got out! 

Brando wouldn't fit in the bowl or would he sit still so nooooo picture for little Brando!!!

I'm getting old.

It's official. I'm getting old. 

Ok....I'm almost 23 (I know it's really not old at all) BUT I feel like an old fart!

 It's 9 o'clock and I'm in bed all snuggled up. 

I have one kid who is in bed ad fast asleep by 7:30 and the other who is in bed by 7:30 and usually asleep by 8.

I put my kids on a schedule. 

It truely is the ONLY way for me to stay sane :)

Two kids is much more chaotic than one. 

they are awake every morning at 7, take a nap around 12:30 and then in bed at 7:30. 

If i let them do their own thing, one would go to bed around 9 and the other around 10:30-12.

THEN awake at 10. 

ok so I'm rambling.

the point to my rambling is they are BOTH asleep by 8. 

8:30 rolls around and I'm bored out of my mind. 

I can't sew, its too noisy

I cant vacumm

the dishes are already done

I've already picked up the toys and other "crap" they've drug out through out the day

I cant do laundry ( I don't have a washing machine :/ ) <-------- that sucks big time! I cannot wait to have my washing machine and dryer back!! NEVER thought those words would come out of this mouth!

I could get crafty and make some headbands 

BUT my bed sounds sooooooo much more comfy.

SOOOOOOOOOOO......what do I decide to do??!?!?!

YUP, crawl into bed around 8:30. WHAAAAAAAT?! ughhhhhhh I'm pretty lame! 

For the record Michael is gone working so its just me and the peanuts. (even when he is home, he gets tired very early from getting up early so he gets into bed too!)

The WHOLE reason to putting my kids to bed early was so I could have "me" time. Or time for just Michael and I.

This makes me wonder....what time will I go to bed when I'm 40?! 

You're probably wondering "what's the point of this whole post?!" 

There is no point lol. I'm trying to keep myself awake.

Lets face it. I'm getting old. Nighty night!! :)

My first garage sale buy!!!

This weekend I Found an AWESOME deal at a garage sale. Ok, I am NOT one to buy other people's junk, but while I was driving by I couldn't help but see this UGLY picture frame that had the potential to be really cute. In fact it was JUST what I was wanting for Madison's new room. I'm doing her new room in a shabby chic kinda theme and wanted some cute chunky picture frames for her room. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO............................................................

the ugly picture frame I found.

 It was this super ugly gold frame. BUT I got it for $1!!!!! That's right, ONE dollar. I painted it an ivory color and then antiqued it so it looked old still.

I am seriously IN LOVE with this frame :) I haven't decided if I want to put a picture in it or make into a cork board, whatever it becomes, its going to look so cute in her room! NOW I'm almost half way tempted to drive around searching for garage sales to find another!

Its FINALLY Fall!!!

YAY!!! It's already October!! *sigh*......Hard to believe huh? I feel like this year has flown by so fast. This time last year I was 6 months pregnant! Holy cow!! Now Madison is 8 months old TODAY!!!! It doesn't feel like I had her 8 months ago :( The second kid grows faster then the first. Madison is now walking along everything and she eats just about anything we give her now! She's also got both of her bottom teeth! Her little smile looks so cute with little teeth in her mouth! Brandon still loves her like crazy, but as she gets older he gets more playful with her. Sometimes he forgets that she's just a baby and plays a little too hard with her. The other day he was trying to ride her like a horse while she crawled around. ohhhh boy.....that little boy! yesterday and today have really felt like Fall. The weather is nice and gloomy and cool. I got in the mood.....got a Cinnamon Dolce Latte from Starbucks, went shopping and decorated our house for fall! :)

       This last weekend was such a fun weekend! On Saturday we went to BJ'S for dinner and then shot some hand guns. OMG when we got into the shooting range I ALMOST backed out and just let Michael shoot, BUT I put my big girl panties and did it! Getting myself to pull the trigger for the very first time took me a minute or two, but I did and HOLY COW.... it was A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!!! There's soooo much power out of a little piece of metal.

After that we went to the PBR in Stockton. AHHH sooo many cute cowboy's riding bull's! :) We had such a fun time together I didn't want the night to end. Sunday we walked down to the Lodi Street Fair with my parents and then met up with Michael's parents after a few hours. I found an AMAZING photographer that hopefully has an opening for fall family pictures!! Go check out her website. She specializes in newborns and OMG she is good! Jesica Allen Photography 

Brandon rode a pony two times, and he loved every minute of it! Future cowboy in the making! :) We had such a fun time this weekend, we were all sad when it was over and back to the usual daily work week!  :(

Date night!

The hubby planned our date night for tonight(yup I left everything to him to decide!).... Guess where we're going?!? We're going shooting in Elk Grove and then to the Pro Bull Riding in Stockton!!! Hahaha TOTAL man night right there! But to be honest, I'm actually really excited! Maybe because it's something I've never done before and TOTALLY out of my element, OR maybe because Michael is SO excited for it. Either way it will be fun :)

I can't believe summer is over and fall is already here. I LOVE fall! I'm sooo excited for the leaves to start changing and falling, and most of all to take BOTH kids to the pumpkin patch this year! This time last year I was almost 6 months pregnant!!! WHAAAATTTTTT??! That's crazy to think about. It feels like time has flown by sooooo flippen fast, its unbelievable. Brandon is almost 2.5 and Maddie will be 8 months old on Tuesday! I have my fall wreath that my wonderful momma gave me up on my door and its making me even more in the mood for Fall! I hope everyone has a great weekend! Wish me luck today haha because I'm nervous! :)

Getting out...

Of my funk! Undone hair, no make-up and sweats and t- shirts are OK...... every once in a while. I wake up, feed the kids, clean, shower, and play with the kids. I rarely did my make up or my hair :( I was stuck. Stuck in a funk. A frumpy funk. EWWWW! My style has changed SOOO much since becoming a mom. ( don't get me wrong, I enjoy the frumpy days as long as I have more put together days than the frumpy!)  All I own is t-shirts and jeans....Comfy, but not too cute!

SOOOO, I'm getting my self out of this rut I was stuck in. I feel soo much better and more happy when I take the time to get ready or put some thought into an outfit. I am re-vamping my closet with new clothes and putting the time into my hair and makeup. I'm almost 23 and I feel soo much older because I don't put any time into myself! I have anxiety with mild Postpartum Depression.... 

UGHHH just saying that makes me sad!!! I NEVER thought I would ever have this. In fact, I couldn't figure out how people could ever feel "depressed." It just never made sense to me. It's a feeling that just sucks. I'm sooooo thankful for my husband and my mother who have been there for me and encouraged me to go see my doctor. I really feel like a whole new person. A person I haven't felt like in a long time! I think not putting any time into myself was part of my problem. I wasn't happy with the way I looked or felt. I never bought anything for me, just clothes for the kids. It really really feels good to be happy about myself again. it sucks that it took me a while to let anyone know how I was feeling or excepting the fact that something just wasn't right. BUT I'm sooooooo glad I got the help I needed. Everyday is a better day than before. I wake up alive and get to spend one more day with my kids, husband, family and friends! Life really is good. So, here's to a NEW me. A refreshed happier me! :)

Life is good...

I love laying in bed with my husband and just talking. Talking about our feelings, emotions, thoughts, dreams, goals....everything. Sometimes I think life is hard, than I re-connect with my husband and realize how great life is. I'm so lucky to have a husband how loves me and supports everything I do. I cant say it enough but he really is my rock! Yesterday as I was making lunch for Brandon, I heard two little voices giggling. Madison was supposed to be sleeping in her swing, but instead Brandon was on top of her rocking her and smothering her with kisses. She of course thought this was funny. I couldn't help but get teary eyed standing there watching them. This is EVERYTHING I could have hoped for. My children adore each other. They are best friends. You can see all the love in their eyes that they have for each other. Wherever one goes the other follows. I always thought adding another child to a family would be more of a transition or harder than it has been. Some people look at me like I'm crazy when I say they are only 19 months apart. I sometimes think I'm crazy for having kids 19 months apart, BUT moments like those are EXACTLY why we chose to have them this close.

Today is a new day. Michael is starting a diet today. This means no more baking yummy stuff. I am determined to help my husband. I need to find a happy medium that works in our house. I can NOT diet with him. I'm actually on a different diet to gain weight. Technically I'm really underweight and with breast feeding I just cant and DON"T need to diet. So this will be a challenge to figure out what works for both of us, but I'm sure we will figure it out. If anyone has any links to some good blogs with healthy recipes then send them my way :)

Hospital visit numero tres

Isn't it just when I say Brandon has been staying out of trouble is when something happens... again?!

Ughh this boy!

Well, yesterday Maddie went down for her morning nap so I took Brandon out to Michael's truck with me to make sure Madison's new car seat was installed properly. He was in the front seat playing and "driving," when he turns around with bright orange stuff coming out of his mouth. I asked him what that was and his answer: "Brandon ate that orange thing. It's nasty. I don't like that." Ok kid I see you ate it, BUT WHAT IS IT!???!?! So I'm searching to see what this mysterious nasty orange thing was and I look down the crack between the seat and the center console and find some pieces of a chewed up PILL. Go ahead and guess what color this chewed up pill was. ORANGE@?#!@# AHHHH kid REALLY?!?! The first things that came out of my mouth were "NOOOOOOOO oh my god you don't pills!!!" Poor kid didn't know, and probably thought it was candy. So he looks at me and says, "you don't eat those pills mommy." Even when I'm in a moment of panic he can still make me laugh.

So I wake Maddie up, get them both in the truck and off to the Lodi Memorial Emergency room we go. We get there and I tell them what has happened, so they are admitting him and she asks, " Has he been admitted here before?" before I can answer she chuckles and says, "never mind...he has!" HA! yes, my child is only two and this is his 3rd adventure here! I'm starting to believe he likes this place! I wonder how many times we will sit in an emergency room by the time he's 18? At the rate we're going probably A LOT! They basically just monitored him for a while. Since he was acting like his normal loud self they decided to not draw blood and let me take him home and monitor him. A couple hours in the hospital with just me and both kids was REEEEEAALLLLL fun! Can you read the sarcasm in that?! I'm glad he was ok. That's all that matters :) 

Maddie-bug just cut her 2nd tooth!!!!! She's growing SOOO fast. She is almost 8 months old!!! She holds onto the couch and walks across it! I cant say it enough.... I'M NOT READY FOR HER TO DO THIS! 

Well, that's all the excitement in this house the past couple days!!

flower headband!

Want to learn how to make this flower headband?! Its SUPER easy and really cheap! 

All you need is:

felt 

hot glue gun

scissors 

and a head band

Get any color felt and cut out 5 flower shapes. Mine are probably 2 inches diameter.

 

next fold them in half like so...

 

Then your going to place a folded vertical flower right on top of another folded horizontal flower and put a little dab of glue right in the middle to hold them together.

Do the same with the next two so it looks like this. Its should resemble how you fold a moving box!

Now take your 5th flower and fold in in half, then in half again so it looks like a pizza slice! ( Now my stomach is rumbling and I'm waiting for my PIZZA to deliver!!! :) ) 

put a dab of glue on the point of the folded flower pizza thing and stick it right in the center of the four flowers so its standing up! 

fluff all of your flower petals towards the center one and then you can glue it or sew it onto a headband! they would be really cute on shirt too! :)

guns,Car seats and piggy paint... What a weekend!

Michael and I had a really awesome time together at the Lodi Grape Festival. It was so much fun spending some time with just him! Plus, Maddie was good for my parents while they watched her. She has stayed with both sets of grandparents now and been fine! She has come a LONG way! 

 on Saturday we went to the gun room in Elk Grove to check out hand guns and to look at hunting shot guns for Michael. That was the VERY FIRST TIME I've EVER held a gun and It made me extremely nervous. :O I got the handbook for the safety test you have to pass to buy one and its basically just common sense. We are going back to rent a couple guns so I can shoot them there and see what one I feel comfortable with :)

Who would have thought I would be willing to go shoot guns?! NOT ME! BUT I spend A LOT of time home alone with my kids, and I need something to protect me and them god forbid anything were to happen. We also looked at the gun safes to keep it in locked and away from the kids. I have NO problem with people owning guns if they properly store them with the safety on and AWAY from a child where they can NOT be accessed. 

We also went to a baby store in Elk grove that carry's a car seat that I wanted for Madison. I was REALLY interested in the Sunshine Radian XTSL. BUT our babies R' Us doesn't carry it in the store and I really wanted to see what I was buying. This car seat is AWESOME. It's very narrow, but its a tank! Its steel re-enforced and extremely safe. Madison can also rear face for much longer. We love this car seat so much we ordered one for Brandon too!

 

I also got Maddie some Piggy Paint finger nail polish!!!!! Its as natural as mud and is non-toxic, odorless and baby friendly! We got "Forever Fancy" and "Girls Rule." I painted her toes when she was sleeping and they look SOOOOOOOOOO cute! I could seriously eat her little toes up!

When she wakes up I'll try and get some pictures of them :)

Friday date night :)

Today has been kinda a BLAHHHH day. It feels like its going by FOREVER and I just cant get motivated to do anything. So instead of cleaning today, we finger painted, rolled around on the floor playing, sang songs and read books. Although I couldn't get motivated to clean, I had fun with my little love bugs! Tonight my wonderful husband is taking me to the Lodi Grape Festival while my parents watch the kids! I love going out with him, It always reminds me how much I love him and spending quality time with just the two of us! I spend 24/7 with both of the kids (which I LOVE) but I'm in much need of a little break for a few hours! :)

Big weight off of my shoulders....

I deleted my Facebook a while ago and it was the best thing I have decided to do in a long time. Facebook was starting to make me depressed and with two (very busy) kids, I honestly don't have time for it and all its drama! I've decided to start blogging way more. I'm trying to have a new outlook on life. I'm done. I'm not taking ANYTHING for granted anymore. Letting go of all grudges and the anger. People spend WAY too much time holding grudges against people, talking about others and its NOT worth it. I don't care about anything in the past anymore, life is too short to be angry. I have too many blessing in my life, my husband, my children and my family. They are my everything, my world....my universe. Its crazy how much life can change in a matter of years. 6 years ago I would have NEVER thought I would be married with 2 kids today. 6 years ago I met Michael, and it seems unreal that its been that long, but at the same time it still feels like yesterday we were riding around in his Tahoe causing trouble! I love that man more today than I ever have. My life is such a blessing, and sometimes you need to sit down and take a little time to remember that. I look into my children's eyes and am reminded how beautiful life truly is. Hug your loved ones a little tighter and kiss them one extra time everyday. Tell them you love them one more time a day. Quit being so angry and enjoy life a little more. :)

6 months....

My baby is 6 months!!! Ok, so I'm a little late, she's almost 7 months!!!!!!!!!!!! WHERE DID THIS TIME GO?? Maddie started crawling on all fours 2 days after turning 6 months! She has been busy cruising the house and following her brother! She LOVES playing in their room with all of his toys! And she loves crawling all over her brother! She says "mama" and "dada," shes starting to pull herself up on furniture and is kinda eating solids! We have been experimenting with different foods and have yet to find one she likes! Maddie makes our family smile soo much! Here's a few of her 6 month pictures!

Brandon had his 2 year check up and basically he barely makes the charts for his height and weight combined! He is a little runt, but his appetite is pretty good on most days! He takes after his momma! Other than that nothing else is new with him! He's been staying out of trouble and hasn't hurt himself in a while (knock on wood!) Here's a few pictures of my little man (he doesn't like pictures at all!)

Nothing really new with Michael and I. He's still really busy with work, which is good so we can finish this freaking house hopefully! With him gone ALL the time that leaves me baking and cooking A LOT! And cleaning too! I'm sooo excited, my favorite blog for recipes "The Pioneer Women" has a cooking show coming out! I can NOT wait for it to premiere. :) I also can't wait for fall to hurry up and get here! I LOVE Halloween, Thanksgiving,  all the decorating and fun baking that goes with it, the food, AND MY BIRTHDAY! I'll be 23 in November. SO old, I know! ;) My love and best friend's Birthday is NEXT FRIDAY!!!!!!  What in the world should I get this man?! I know what he REALLY wants, but he's so difficult and easy at the same time. If that made any sense! He asked for a homeade white cake, raspberry filling and chocolate frosting, so if it turns out yummy I'll post the recipe! :)

Back at home!

We are moved back into our house!!!!! I forgot how cluttered our little house gets (even more now that our laundry room is a construction zone)! BUT, we are almost finished!!! Today at the butt crack of dawn they delivered all of our molding and doors. they are installing all of it tomorrow and then its ready to be painted on the inside!!! :D <---- That's my big happy face! 

I cannot wait to see what it looks like tomorrow with all the molding up!

Now that we are moved back into our house I have been cooking all kinds of new recipes and baking yummy stuff! My boy's LOVE when I bake! I have TONS of other stuff I want to make, but I need to get myself and my munchkins to the grocery store to get ingredients!

My little munchkin's are getting sooo big! Brandon is quite the little talker, its impossible to get him to stop talking for at least 5 minutes! He also got his first pair of cowboy boots and INSISTS he wears them with every single outfit! I think he has a little more Portagee in him then we thought! He looks so cute in them but so okie at the same time!!! My Maddie girl is getting SOOOO big! She is almost 6 months old :(  She's such a little joy to be around! She loves laying on her belly on the floor and playing with her brother! Yup, my little princess plays with tractors and trucks! She scoots all around, and I know its only a matter of time until she starts crawling :/  Nothing else too new around here!!! :)

Busy Bee!

Our house is ready to move back into!!!!! Well I still need to finish cleaning it out and then we can move back into it! Brandon is going to have a rude awakening! He loves living with his LG and Papa, what kid doesn't love living with their grandparents?! They spoil him lol! But I know he misses his toys at home too! I cant wait to start decorating the new part and re- decorate the existing. I may need my momma's help cause she is A-W-E-S-O-M-E when it comes to decorating! I have SOOOOOOOO many new recipes I've found that I cant wait to make! And I cant wait to bake some AWESOME cupcake recipes that I've found! :) 

My baby Maddie is going to be 5 months old on the 4th of July!!! Uhm where in the world is this time going?! Shes learning how to army crawl and this makes me VERY sad! She's developing quite the little personality. She's such a goober and I love it! My two babies bring me such joy, I don't know what I would do without them!

I hope everyone has a good 4th of July this weekend. Michael's smoking some tri-tip and ribs, and I cannot wait!

My boy is TWO!!!!

On Saturday the 18th My baby boy turned TWO!!!!!!! His birthday party was a ton of fun!! Thank you to EVERYONE who came! Like always, the little monster got a TON of toys! Where I'm going to fit them all, I have no idea, but thank goodness for a bigger house now. Brandon has decided its still his birthday and he insists I sing happy birthday to him. 

Miss Madison is almost 5 months old! AHHHHHH time is going by extremely fast with her! She rolls over and can scoot herself around! At her 4 month appt, she weighed 13.5 pounds and was 23 inches long! She's got the funniest personality. Maddie is for the most part a happy baby, but she has her moments when her attitude comes out! Brandon just adores her, and she adores him! I'm so blessed to have two children who absolutely love each other. Let's just hope it stays that way!
